All the repair systems in our body occur during sleep which means that a critical part of making our cells younger is being able to sleep. As we get older, it becomes challenging for us to have a more restful, deep sleep which prevents our ability to repair our body from the daily stressors of life, and genetic aging. This cycle of increasing difficulty of repair and an increase in damage to our bodies over time creates the spiral of aging.
